Chris joined the Mormon Church in 1991 and was an active member for nine years. During that time he served as Sunday School President, Elders Quorum Secretary, Ward Mission Leader, Scout Master, and Gospel Doctrine Teacher. As he began to study the scriptures in earnest in 1999, he found several conflicting doctrines between the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants, as well as LDS scriptures that conflicted with the Bible. He left Mormonism and has been in Christian ministry ever since.
Tracy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 26 years. She held many positions over the years, including "Young Married's" Activities Leader, Primary Teacher, Nursery Assistant, Assistant Ward Librarian, Cub Scout Den Leader, Ward Music Chairman, Visiting Teaching Supervisor, Relief Society Teacher, and Relief Society President, among others. Tracy was a frequent vocalist or speak at special youth and adult firesides. She was serving as Relief Society President when she left the LDS Church in November of 2000. She now writes and does public speaking, sharing her experience and knowledge of Mormonism in Christian churches throughout the country.
Summer Garcia
Summer was raised LDS until she was 15 years old. She was active in the children's primary and the Young Women's program, serving as Beehive and Mia Maid President. She participated in daily family devotions and weekly Family Home Evening. Summer was looked up to and admired by ward members; peers and leaders alike. She left the Church after intense study and prayer a year after her parents left Mormonism. Summer is now in ministry on the worship team at her Christian church and volunteers as a staff member of Equipping Christians Ministries. Her powerful testimony and example makes an impact on everyone she meets.
Greg Tennant
Greg's exposure to Mormonism has been primarily through his wife, her family, and this ministry. He gave his life to the Lord at age ten and has been a devoted Christian ever since. Greg has been involved in prison ministry, church leadership, and donating his labor to build two churches. He currently serves as a multi-talented instrumentalist on his church's worship team. His knowledge and understanding of the Bible and Christian doctrine is a valuable resource for Equipping Christians Ministries. |
